Wonder Woman is not all that, says Alicia Silverstone

Unlike most of the world's population, Alicia Silverstone does not seem to be much fan of Wonder Woman. The film, DC's biggest box office in the United States, has grossed more than $ 700 million and has garnered critical acclaim around the world. According to AdoroCinema's 4.5-star review, Patty Jenkins's feature "works as action, as fantasy, as adventure, and even as romance." Wonder Woman also brings Gal Gadot in the lead role, an actress who will soon be a star. But even with all these pros, Silverstone does not share the overall excitement.

In an interview with Variety to release her new work, sitcom American Woman, the actress stated that she did not understand the repercussion of the film: "We had many women-led movies before Wonder Woman, so I'm a bit confused by that. Comedians who have had a lot of success? There is a Mission Maid of Honor Marriage Over the years, we have had movies like Evil Girls and Beverly Hills Behind the Scenes, films focusing on women. "

Still, Silverstone, who played Batgirl in Batman & Robin, also demonstrated her displeasure with Wonder Woman action sequences: "Of course it has to be spectacular, but when you look at children's movies these days as a mother, I do not want my son to see it, loud sounds and all these stimuli, but that's what the audience wants, so it's complicated. Sometimes things are more interesting when they're quieter because they touch people. "

In addition to American Woman, Silverstone also stars in The Killing of a Sacred Deer, a film by Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos, who won the Best Screenplay at this year's Cannes Film Festival and the Diary of A Banana 4.
