James Gunn reveals he would like to have made movie about the Red Hulk

Director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, James Gunn was interested in the Marvel Cinematic Universe long before he was chosen to direct the first film of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Answering questions from fans on his Facebook profile, the filmmaker revealed that he would like to make a movie about the Red Hulk. "I would like to do [a film] about Hit Monkey. I would really like to do it. I was also interested in doing a Hulk and Red Hulk film," Gunn said. For those who do not know, Hit Monkey is an anthropomorphized killer who first appeared in 2010, but his bow seems to be far from the horizon. On the Red Hulk, there were rumors that the character would appear in Captain America: Civil War, but neither he nor Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) were in the film.
In comics, Red Hulk is the alter ego of General Ross, the father of Hulk's ex-wife Betty Ross. When given the opportunity to resurrect his daughter mate Bruce, Ross becomes the Red Hulk. They battle for a long time, until Green Hulk arrest their rival and decide together with Captain America to give the General a second chance, accepting his entry into the Avengers. Played by William Hurt, General Ross appeared in Captain America: Civil War, but there was no suggestion that he could turn.

Meanwhile, Gunn is confirmed in the direction of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Hulk can be seen in Thor: Ragnarok, which opens in Brazil on October 26.
