Rupert Wyatt is tipped to lead Green Lantern Troop

Everyone there celebrating the Wonder Woman's success, but there are still many things in the future of DC's Extended Universe. Like, for example, Green Lantern Troop!

Sources from That Hashtag Show claim that Rupert Wyatt can direct the film focused on intergalactic patrollers. (Previously, David Goyer and George Miller were quoted for the project.) Known for his work on Planet of the Apes - The Origin, the filmmaker worked on series like The Exorcist and even got hired for Gambit, but abandoned the project. He recently announced that he will return to theaters with the science fiction Captive State.

In addition, the page reported alleged character descriptions of the film, specifically about the two most famous versions of the Green Lantern: Hal Jordan and John Stewart. The information points out that the former will be around 40 and 50 years old, serving as a kind of mentor for the latter. Officially, no names have been confirmed in the cast, but rumors put Ryan Reynolds, Tom Cruise, Jake Gyllenhaal and Bradley Cooper and Armie Hammer in contention.

Before that, there's still plenty of water to roll in DC's Extended Universe ... Now, Wonder Woman is breaking records; In November comes the Justice League and 2018 is Aquaman's turn. Other films such as Shazam and Cyborg have scheduled releases before the Green Lantern Troupe, which opens in 2020.
